Candidate report card:

Commitment to the constitution: A+
Sharron Angle has an excellent record fighting for the constitution. Her nuanced positions always start and finish at the constitution. Her understanding of legislative procedure gives her the ability to sponsor effective policy initiatives. Sharron has the deep appreciation of our founding principles that only comes from years of dedicated study.

Fiscal Responsibility: A+
I think it is safe to say that Sharron has a healthy hatred of taxes.
From her campaign site:
“The best way to control an overbearing government is to strictly
control the amount of taxes imposed on the people. That is why I
support simplification of tax systems, and I support tax reform that
leads to a fairer, flatter tax system.”
Sharron has the courage to stand up say NO!

Electability: C+
Angle narrowly lost a difficult primary to Dean Heller in 2006. She then challenged entrenched state senator Bill Raggio and again narrowly lost. Harry Reid has one of the most powerful political machines in the country. Only time will tell if Angle has learned how to turn narrow defeats into victories.

Personal History: A
A mother, a teacher, and a former legislator. Nothing else needs to be said.

Positions: A
She isn’t afraid to lay out her positions. Some highlights from her platform:

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT & GOVERNMENT REGULATION – “A
business-friendly environment will help Nevada compete in a world
market place. I recognize that government regulation can be a major
impediment to productivity and to competition. We must rely more
on market forces and less on government. I have supported and
defended the Nevada Right to Work Law.”

EDUCATION – “As a mother, grandmother, and former school teacher,
I am passionate about education. I support incentives that promote
competitive excellence, and the rights of parents to choose public,
private,or at-home education.”

Overall: A
After close examination it is hard to understand why Sharron Angle has lost her last two elections. The depth of her arguments and the legislative expertise to implement her policies would make her an excellent legislator. The easiest way to answer the questions of electability will be to win the republican primary.

Here it is May 21010 and I am just now beginning to hear about Sharron Angle. From all accounts I have read, she is an ideal conservative rep. I believe I have found my candidate for U. S. Senate. I hope there are a lot of others out there who will stand up and speak out for her!

I would like to know your feelings on Veterans issues. I’am very involved in this area and with less and less People in Congress with a Veteran background it is becoming more and more important for veterans to know what the position of our Candidates are. Nevada has the largest amount of veterans per capita in our great country. My particular organization is heading toward 10,000 members. Please let me know by e-mail or we could meet to discuss how you stand. In the past few years we felt that our present Senator has lost touch.

    Thank You

    John Edwards

Finally, someone who doesn’t speak out of both sides of thier mouth. Who cares if her website is full of spelling and grammer errors. She seems to me that she speaks from the heart. I am wondering how she feels and supports the Constitution, our 1st and 2nd and 4th Amendments? I think a complete house cleaning in Washington is warranted, was it as clean as a babies bottom. Harry Reid is a joke and a worthless flemwad, who will stop at noting to win re-election. If he runs a negitative campaign, I hope it comes back and bites him square in the butt. Maybe he can move to Mexico, and get elected down there, they love corrupt politicians.

Sharon, for god’s sake do an add stating your position on social security. You getting beaten up. It doesn’t help at this point to remind everybody how much they dislike Harry. They will vote for him if they think he will either protect their federal handout or get another one. Get aggressive. You are leaving the stage to Harry and you will lose unless you start letting people know what your positions are once awhile in between the attack ads on Harry. Everybody I know are anxiously awaiting them.

I don’t have anything to change. If you depend on advisors who lost the primary, you will lose. People have to know you are with us and you are not going to seek depriving seniors of their social security they worked so long for.

Sharon you have to stop running from the media. The saying “walk softly and carry a big stick” should be your approach. Set them straight on your views and what you will do for the state. Tell them how you are going to put people back to work. That is how we can turn this recession around. How you are going to fight against raising taxes for everybody.
talk about the VAT tax that is coming, how it effects everyone. Tell them how Barney Frank and Chris Dodd lied to the Bush administration about Fannie and Freddies fanancial situation causing the housing market to crash. Load up girl and GO!!!

Sharon, I am a 20 year Air Force Vet and small businessman and have worked for everything I have. I applaud your anti tax less government approach, but six weeks into the campaign I have heard little about what you will do for Nevada if elected to the Senate. Many of my friends are against Harry, but they (me) still dont know what you stand for. I understand what you mean when you say you would not bail out the MGM, which everyone knows contributes to Senator Reid. However, I believe you made a huge mistake when you said it is not the job of a US Senator to fight for jobs for their home state. You must understand that falls on deaf ears in these economic times. In stead of buying mud slinging tv commercials that go back and forth with Harry’s positions, you have to come out with some positive statements. We both know he has more money to out mud sling you. The point is people I talk to and I’m on the road every day, the populace is already getting tired of it.
What for example is your position on Afghanistan? Alaslan oil drilling? solar energy? Nuclear waste? Defense of our borders? English as the official language of the US? The flat tax? What will you do to repeal Obamacare? Just a few thoughts. Let me know if I can help. I’d like to see you get elected Jim Boyce/2713176
